Tomaž Gregorič / Photographs

The rhetoric of Tomaž Gregorič's photographs, now the focus of our attention, draws upon the photographer's encounters with individuals in the streets and upon various, quite ordinary, suburban situations which caught his eye. In contrast to his works from the early 1990's (which were mises-en-scene of sorts with non-lifelike bodies in rigid, though esthetic poses - staged tableaux vivants with allusions to imaginary dimensions of mysterious spaces), the photographs presented in this show refer to actual reality.
