A book which marks the 35. anniversary of the Slovenian book fair.
The Selffish project was carried out in 2018 by Bojan Brecelj, a renowned Slovenian photographer, at the first edition of the Fotocona section of the fair.
The history of Brecelj's Selffish can be traced in 2011 when he exhibited the project "Who are you?" in the City Museum. The core idea was focussed on old studio portraits of people, where people have been presenting themselves since the beginning of the medium - whether with co-subjects, objects or clothes. They showed who they were and left their visual image to the future. With the Selffish project, this moved to the present. Visitors of the book fair were able to take a picture with their imaginary book title and express a view on the world we live in today. The result is presented in the book, where introductory texts were contributed by dr. Martin Žnideršič, Rudi Zaman, Zdravko Kafol, and Bojan Brecelj (who contributed a text as well as all images).
The book was designed by Žare Kerin, proofread by Tine Logar, translated by Irena Duša in Hana Čeferin, and edited by Barbara Čeferin.
