Lou Scheper for Marie-Luise Betlheim Weimar / Souvenir
Letters of Bauhaus student Lou Scheper for Marie-Luise Betlheim.
Weimar, Dessau, Berlin, 1922–1936.
In collaboration with the publishing house UPI2M BOOKS and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, a folder titled Souvenir was published on the occasion of the opening of the Bauhaus exhibition. The folder contains illustrated letters by the Bauhaus artist Lou Scheper to Marie-Luise Betlheim and a reproduction of 8 postcards in their original format.
Lou Scheper was a student of painting at the Bauhaus in Weimar. She met and befriended Marie-Luise Betlheim at the same time as
she was studying at the Hellerau School of Rhythm and Music in Dresden. The friendship continued after Marie-Luise Betlheim moved to Zagreb, and the illustrated letters with artistic value give a first-hand account of life at the Bauhaus school.
