Collection: ALMIN ZRNO

Almin Zrno (1966) is widely recognized as one of the most influential photographers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Removed from the world photography centers, Zrno discovered his love for photography early and joined the renown photo club CEDUS in Sarajevo, where he was introduced with his future profession. He soon began exhibiting his artwork in numerous exhibitions organized in ex-Yugoslavia and received his first award for the best photograph at the age of 17. after a ten-year break from photography, a consequence of the war in Bosnia, he continued to pursue his career in 1996. He worked mainly in the field of journalistic photography, for which he received two awards for best published photograph.

In 2000, he became a member of Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUPUBiH), which he currently presides. In 2003, he organized his first solo exhibition titled „STAGE“ at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until today, he organized 17 solo exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. Zrno was awarded with six prestigious awards Collegium Artisticum for best photograph. He published his first monograph Vijećnica in 2015 and his second, Apology of Eros, in 2016.
