Arne Hodalič, the world-renowned Slovenian photographer, has put together a collection of his photographic work created over the course of several years. In 1989, Hodalic, a professor of biology, began to dedicate himself to journalistic reportage and, from that time on, he has been travelling to all four corners of the earth, amassing a truly stupendous photographic opus.
He collaborates with the world's most prestigious photo agencies - Gamma, GLMR, Saola and Explorer - and his reportage and photographs are featured in the world's most prestigious publications - Geo, Figaro, Magazine, Paris-Match, Stern, Animan, Airone, Sette, and Life. Hodalič is a versatile photographer who feels at home wherever he finds himself: underwater, in the air and even in the studio. Interspersed among the photographs in this book is HodalicB4s unusual commentary about Venice, Argentina, Omana, Papua, New Guinea, Zanzibar, the Sudan, Bali, and Brazil. The juxtaposition of the photographic work with HodalicB4s extraordinary diary allows us to share the insight of a photographer with a sensitive and sophisticated vision of the world; a photographer with a special gift that lends his work an added dimension.
