"In written sources of the time, we are unable to find any mention of Kos's photographic activity. This is nothing unusual, as it was quite well known that artists didn't like to mention their photographic practice, especially if they were somehow related to creating in their primary medium. It is not surprising, then, that Kos's photographic oeuvre is only being discovered decades after his death, similarly to the rest of Europe, where major presentations of photographs by painters and sculptors, found in their archives, are only being carried out today, in our time."
