In a colourful caravan, participants from Iran, seven European countries, India and the USA spent three weeks in December 2006 in Iran, with stops in the cities Teheran, Shiraz, Yazd and Isfahan. Iranian colleagues accompanied the foreign participants on their journey and welcomed them at the different stations where an intercultural exchange with workshops, lectures and discussions happened. As a result of these meetings and get-togethers, this book gathers contributions of 53 authors, photographers and artists and tries to present a different Iran – 258 images and 46 texts which have not much to do with common clichés.
