"This exhibition is a homage to the past, to the photographer's eightieth birthday, and to the great joy he bought to the medium of photography, as bespoken by his oeuvre.

The present exhibition is not based on his series as such: rather, it is a selection and an overview of some of Zdovc's best and not so well known works, which define him as an artist with a precise, deliberate, and accomplished method of choosing the motif and the subject. He is not interested in momentary impressions, but in the sophisticated process of capturing the interrelations between light and darkness, of finding the right position for a motif or a figure in an environment."
