They invite a haptic way of looking, a way of experiencing images almost through touch, where the eye becomes sensitive to surfaces and textures.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-ansi-language: SL;\"\u003eThis experience extends into the materiality of the book. The tactile surface of the paper and the unusual structure of the book encourage the reader to physically engage with it and to turn its pages in reverse.
