Luca Laureati: Portreti / Ritratti
Luca Laureati: Portreti / Ritratti
Recording the changes in contemporary society’s ‘humanscape’: that is mainly why Luca Laureati undertook this study of physiognomy and costume, based on the results of two, summer 2005 photographic sessions in the commune of Savogna (Natisone Valleys). An essential set, with a white, card back-cloth, right up against a wall, in the shade of a building, and the cooperation from the people that the author asked to look into his appliance, without the time required for studying a posture. Then three shots, for three different frames, full length, half bust (or length), close-up, a choice reflecting the great American portraitists’ lesson. The catalogue was presented on the occasion of an exhibition, Dialog, proposing, in a single hall, the work of Laureati and the portraits by Tin Piernu, united for having immortalised the members of the same community, fifty years one after the other.
