Frank Mädler / Kopal

Frank Mädler's long-term project "Kopal" contains 1224 polaroid pictures. Since 1996, Mädler was taking photos of his surroundings, neighbourhood, and milieu. However, 16 years later, in 2012, he had to stop his project due to a lack of polaroid films.

For this project, Mädler had to come up with new ideas and free thinking as different formats demand different strategies.
Every photo is unique and captures a personal moment.Therefore, "Kopal" can be seen as a mystery tour of Mädelr's life, with it's various and fascinating aspects.
