KELA / SKUP

The SKUP photo book is a document of the year-round collaboration between the Kela photographic collective and the Škuc Gallery in the artistic research of production community spaces. The collected photographs and texts testify to the desire to establish new and safer ways of working and living within the artistic context and our everyday life. Photos contributed by Peter Fettich, Lin Gerkman, Hanna Juta Kozar, Urška Preis, Luka Prijatelj, Peter Rauch, Sara Rman and Anja Seničar. The personal confession on the need to work within the community was contributed by the artist Tomaž Furlan. A consideration of an alternative to alternative spaces was added by international curator and philosopher Maximilian Lehner. The IPoP – Institute for Spatial Policies accompanied the publication with a list of points that aim to reveal the importance of space itself in community action.
