A photo journey that extends over more than ten years in the life of an American heterosexual couple. D&S are the first-name initials of the two protagonists. They are examples of the way in which the identity and adaptation portrayed to the outside oscillate, of the way in which the statics of role behaviour have been dissolved by gender debates, of an existence walking the tightrope between personal conviction and economic marketing of ideas. In its ultimate consequence the relationship breaks down and “S” pursues the project of partnership-based adaptation in a homosexual relationship with a woman.
